i have only seen five minutes of some a random MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. episode. well before my time and only recently available on DVD.

my dad once told me he delayed his entrance into the Army so he could catch the end of a two-part MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. episode.

so for his bday i got him the U.N.C.L.E. box set in a goofy silver case. he opened it; i asked him if he remembered when his hitch started.

he laughed for a sec then realized he did: 2-12-66. the day after The Bridge of Lions Affair Pt 2 aired. you see where this is going, right?

That two parter was what I wanted to see most. Truth be told, probably the whole reason I got him the set. Just to see, just to know.

turns out the only minutes of THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. I’d ever seen was from the episode that kept my old man in-country for another week.
